![]() Motorola Wireless Wide Area Networks This
plug-n-play zero-touch configuration access port is a key component of
Motorola’s award-winning wireless switch system, the wireless LAN
(WLAN) architecture that does more — yet costs less. Working in
conjunction with Motorola’s wireless switches, the AP 300
delivers robust
and feature-rich IEEE 802.11a/b/g connectivity. It can also be used as
a sensor in conjunction with Motorola’s Wireless Intrusion Protection
System (IPS). Adoptable as either a Layer 2 or Layer 3 AP, the AP 300
supports Layer 3 Mobility — substantially reducing the cost of
deploying, implementing and managing a WLAN while significantly
increasing features, functionality and the security of the WLAN
infrastructure. Simple
to deploy, the AP 5131
Wireless Access
Point offers 802.11a/b/g wireless networking flexibility, the latest
wired and wireless security standards, and the speed required to
support the most demanding applications, including voice and video.
Remote employees in branch offices, small businesses and telecommuters
working from home enjoy secure connectivity to the Internet and
corporate private networks from desktops, notebooks and other mobile
devices. Enterprise users can take advantage of the AP 5131's mesh
features to extend corporate networks to difficult-to-cable areas. Designed
for use in the harshest environments, the
AP 5181
Outdoor Access Point offers the cost-effective, secure and safe
extension of the corporate network in outdoor areas, such as expansive
yards, as well as in the hazardous environments commonly found in the
petrochemical, oil and gas, utilities industries. Extend high
performance wireless voice and data services beyond and between
buildings — without the expense of installing additional cable or
fiber. Support for wireless mesh enables the connection of two wired
networks, simplifying the creation of complex multi-node, multi-link
networks. Reduce your network costs yet expand your network reach —
with Motorola’s AP 5181 Outdoor Access Point. The
AP 7131
802.11n Wireless Access Point delivers the throughput, coverage and
resiliency required to build an all-wireless enterprise. The tri-radio
design provides simultaneous support for high-speed wireless voice and
data services, self-healing mesh networking and non-data applications
such as Motorola’s Wireless IPS. The fully DFS-compliant 802.11n Draft
2.0 device offers speeds up to 600 Mbps per access point — six times
the bandwidth of an 802.11a/g access point. And Adaptive AP provides
unparalleled resiliency and flexibility, enabling the AP 7131 to be
deployed as either a stand-alone wireless access point or adopted by a
Motorola wireless switch for centralized configuration and management. The
AP 650 is
a thin multi-purpose access point designed to lower the cost of
deploying and operating a secure, reliable 802.11n wireless LAN (WLAN)
in branch offices or headquarters facilities. The AP650 combines
simultaneous WLAN access and sensing, providing 24x7 wireless security
and enabling IT administrators to remotely troubleshooting network
performance issues at any location. The AP 650 is designed to optimize
network availability through its central and pre-emptive intelligence
which dynamically senses weak or failing signals, securely moves mobile
users to alternate APs, and boosts signal power to ensure uninterrupted
access. Common problems, often seen with other products on the market
such as building attenuation, electronic interference or sub-optimal
access point placement are minimized, as SMART RF automatically
optimizes power and channel selection allowing users high-quality
wireless access and mobility. The AP 6511
is
expressly designed for one of the most challenging wireless LAN
environments – dormitory and hotel guest rooms. Standard service
personnel can install the AP 6511 in minutes, not hours, using existing
category 5 or 6 cabling already in the walls. The installation is
predictable and repeatable – two key reasons the AP 6511 will
dramatically lower the installation time and cost of a room wireless
LAN. The AP’s sleek ‘hide in sight’ design and minute size match the
décor of any room. The AP 6511 includes intelligent self-optimizing
Controller AP code, which allows a small property to gain the benefits
of a central controller – automatic adoption, central configuration and
status, and automatic RF management - without the cost of a dedicated
RF switch. For larger properties and facilities, the AP 6511 can be
managed by Motorola's Wi-NG-based RF switches for very high scalability
and seamless integration with other indoor and outdoor 802.11n access
points.
